A grand scale Triptych of panels was completed recently, to be installed aboard an Amels 120m custom motor yacht due to launch in 2026.

At around 3.5m x 2.3m overall size, the unique artwork of the piece was chosen by the client referencing previous Drillworks design ideas. Much of the actual drilling was done using a 2mm drill, some sections varied in angle, density and size to create subtle variation in light and shade when seen from different angles.

The three 4mm aluminium composite panels were almost entirely drilled out, the only solid areas remaining being the ‘ribbons’, a solid stripe across the whole area and a narrow border section all around. The panels were finished in a textured, antique bronze liquid metal and will be backlit using LED light panels.
