Rough around the edges but true to the materials..
All work from this period was made in sheet MDF. Earlier trials using plywood were not too successful and MDF was an easily available and reliable material.. The contrast created by burning areas of the drilled board added texture and variation and was a process I used quite widely during this period.
This could probably be seen as a practice piece, to master drilling lines, circles and areas, all of which have to be approached in a different manner.
