Remembering the fantastic images which were first sent back from the Hubble telescope more than a decade ago!
In the words of the Hubble site: “Light from a star that erupted nearly five years ago (2002) continues propagating outward through a cloud of dust surrounding the star. The light reflects or “echoes” off the dust and then travels to Earth.”
Beautiful and aptly named ‘Monocerotis Light Echo V838’
The panel is now at the Nature in Art Museum In Gloucestershire.
